
Eligibility

Current high school student (preferably based in the Bay Area, though not required)

Able to commit to 4-6 hours per week

Leadership experience

A willingness to learn complex concepts

General Responsibilities
-
Lead committees to implement an educational campaign through monthly events
Ensure deliverables are completed each month by chapters
Maintain consistent, regular communication with other executives
Dedicate approximately 3-5 hours each week to SST​
Attend weekly executive meetings to discuss progress and work through any challenges
Propose activity ideas and work with other executives to design a clear organizational direction ​​

Note: Responsibilities for the founding executives may increase as more chapters are added to the organization.

Event Coordinator (1)

Lead the events committee in planning monthly educational events at community organizations/schools

Reach out to schools and collaborate with ambassadors

Submit the event proposal at least two weeks in advance

Oversee event progress for chapters each week
Publicity Coordinator (1)

Lead the publicity committee in creating educational content based on the curriculum and research literature

Promote events and highlight impact

Ensure information is accurate and clear

Ensure chapter posts at least once every week

Write articles for the chapter blog

Oversee publicity campaigns for chapters
Education Coordinator (1)

Lead the educational committee to refine the curriculum and update the blog

Review policy and research literature to create new lesson plans

Work with the events and publicity coordinator to implement new educational content

Collaborate with chapters to standardize curriculum
Executive Secretary (1)

Ensure metrics are reported at the end of each month by executive coordinators and chapters
Take meeting notes during chapter-wide meetings and executive meetings
Manage the organization-wide calendar and timeline
Ensure coordinators meet deadlines
